You Take the Low Road!

In colonial Pownal, two roads connected Williamstown to Bennington. They were called the High Road and the Low Road. Large segments of these historic roads still exist but they now are little more than dirt roads, or tracks through forest or farm. It’s fascinating to think these were once the major arteries of our town.

Walk back through our town history on these forgotten thoroughfares. Join us for a presentation based on the research of the late Joseph Parks.
