Hoosic Bend Trail
A perfect place for a scenic stroll along the river, and also provides opportunities for picnicking, fishing, kayaking, and birdwatching!
The trail begins in North Pownal. To get to the trailhead, turn onto Dean Road from VT-346. To the right, just before the bridge that crosses the Hoosic, is an access road that leads to the treatment plant. Walk down the road until you see trail signs and a boardwalk. Dogs are welcome on leash. The trail is maintained by volunteer community members.
Park in the lot across from the blue building.
Follow the access road past the water treatment facility.
